Center for Therapy and Mediation
Deborah S. Wilder, Ph.D. is a Psychologist, Divorce Mediator, Divorce Counselor and Parenting Coordinator who has worked with individuals, couples and families in crisis for over 30 years. She has worked in a private psychiatric residential facility for children and adolescents, a college counseling center, a county mental health center and in a Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she specialized in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Behavioral Medicine and had the honor and privilege of working individually and in groups with veterans of the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
As a Psychologist, she has helped many people develop the tools and skills that they need in order to learn how to live happier and healthier lives, even in the face of great pain, conflict and hardship. As a Divorce Mediator, she helps spouses respectfully and thoughtfully uncouple in a way that leaves each person in control of his or her own future and the futures of their children. As a Divorce Counselor, she helps those who are going through divorce (individually, as a couple or as a family) navigate and deal with all of the emotional, mental, logistical, decision-making, familial and relationship issues that divorce presents.
Deborah is registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Georgia Psychological Association. She served on the Board of Directors of Visions Anew Institute and she is a member of the Amicable Divorce Network. Deborah has been in private clinical practice since 1994 and opened the Center for Therapy and Mediation in 2014. Her extensive professional experience and training and her own personal experience with divorce, single parenthood and family life have helped her to become a trusted advisor for those individuals, couples and families at all stages of their lives and relationships.
